She is staying with her husband Mr. Parikhita Senapati and her four children. Parikhita worked as a day labourer on farms his earning around 40 rupees a day. Luckily, they managed to survive without every going to moneylenders. Before joining of she was a house wife. With the intervention of BISWA she was aware about Micro finance loan. Malati joined a SHG who used to save 50 per month. Malati took her loan for 10,000 rupees to buy seeds and fertilizer. Malati got back on track with farming efforts. BISWA provided her training about vermin composting. These days, Malati focuses her efforts on the education of her children and also her Vegetable Cultivation. She pays the fees for books and tuition and firmly believes that he'll have an opportunity to go to university as long as he puts his best efforts forth. From the dairy business, Malati earns around 400 rupees every ten days, but this varies depending on the fat content of the vegetable cultivation. Malati is setting up the business and talking to the agriculture. As a result, her field centre coordinator noticed Malati’s strong leadership qualities and rewarded her with more responsibility. She is a leader in her community and everyone looks toward her with admiration and respect. They all know that Malati’s intelligence, resourcefulness and ambition will carry the community forward to reach their fullest potential. |
