BISWA_Claim_SettledBISWA is a corporate agent of Oriental Insurance Company Limited. It has tied up with Oriental Insurance Company Limited for the insurance of its Assets. Group JPA (Janata Personal Accident) Policy forms an integral part of the Assets Insurance. As per the provision under this Policy; the beneficiary is paid the sum assured in case of accidental death or disability.Late Tapaswini Shikhar Deo was a member of BISWA SHG Durgapali Kanijuri- 10 in Sambalpur. Fortunately, she had enrolled herself with the Assets Insurance of Oriental Insurance Company. Hence, the nominee Mr. Uttam Shikhar Deo filed a Personal Accident claim with all the relevant documents.  The Oriental Insurance Company settled the claim for Rs.50, 000/-.A gathering of the SHG members was organized in the Zonal Office on January 12th’ 08. Mr.R. N. Das, Sr. Divisional Manager, Mr.Jamil Ahmed, Development Officer from Sambalpur Branch Office of Oriental Insurance Company Limited were present in the meeting. Mr.Ajoy Kumar Shroff, Manager – Insurance represented Insurance Section of the Head Office at BISWA.
Mr. Sagar Pujari, Area Coordinator, Sambalpur introduced the guests on the dais. Mr. Ajoy Kumar Shroff, Manager- Insurance explained the benefits of the Assets Insurance in particular. Smt. Prabhati Dash, President of BISWA Samaleswari Federation No. 2 appealed all the members to realize the importance of Insurance and work wholeheartedly towards the fulfillment of the Vision and Mission of our Chairman Shri K. C. Malick.Mr. R. N. Das handed over the cheque of Rs. 50,000/- to Mr. Uttam Shikhar Deo.  Mr Deo cleared the outstanding loan of BISWA and deposited the rest amount in the name of the children of late Tapaswini Sikhar Deo.
